Benefits of Safe Harbour Boat Insurance
- Your all risks Safe Harbour Insurance policy will cover your hull & machinery against various perils. Includes underwater damage should you strike a submerged object.
- Agreed value coverage. You are paid the limit of coverage shown on the Declaration Page of the policy. If the vessel is a total loss, no deductible is applied.
- Guaranteed replacement cost coverage. Offered on new vessels for up to 5 years of vessel age. Your vessel is replaced with a vessel of like kind and quality even if the cost is greater than the Amount of Insurance (up to 110%) shown on the declarations page of your policy.
- Personal effects coverage. Protect your personal contents on board.
- Emergency expense – Reimbursement for towing and emergency assistance in the event of a mechanical failure or if you run out of fuel. Using this will not affect your claims free status.
- Loss of use. If the Insured Vessel is damaged by an insured peril, you will be paid for a temporary substitute vessel or temporary accommodation, up to your policy limit.
- Third party Liability (P&I). Your policy can cover you up to 5M for any third party damage.

To insure your boat, you may need a survey to determine its condition and current value. An out of water survey is required for boats 15 years of age or more. And a new survey every 5 years thereafter. Find an Underwriter approved list of surveyors.
